EdgeHub is a software module that can be installed on any VM to connect to multiple EdgeNTA devices at different locations across your network. Network metadata and KPI from each location can be visualized by connecting to the EdgeHub through a web interface. An optional Geolocation module can be included to provide Geolcation information for all IP endpoints detected by your EdgeNTA devices.
Description
EdgeHub is a software module that can be installed on any VM to connect to multiple EdgeNTA devices at different locations across your network. Network metadata and KPI from each location can be visualized by connecting to the EdgeHub through a web interface. An optional Geolocation module can be included to provide Geolcation information for all IP endpoints detected by your EdgeNTA devices.
Procedures
- Setup traffic mirroring: Configure switch SPAN port / network tap / VXLAN tunnel to forward network traffic to the EdgeNTA device. For example, CRS3xx series switches from MikroTik (such as CRS304-4XG-IN) can be configured to copy traffic from a source port or ports to a mirror destination port for network monitoring (see Port Mirroring section of MikroTik RouterOS manual for details).
- Connect your EdgeNTA device to the mirror source from step 1 and also to your LAN. (EdgeNTA purchased separately)
- Install EdgeHub on a VM.
- Access your dashboard through your EdgeHub using any desktop or mobile web browser.
